Hi everybody, time for a bit of a rant, and we all do this.
So I was teaching a class at a University here in NZ, and was informed that someone in the class already had my design on a tee, but the funny thing is the design was only put on Deviant, not on my website. Now the thing is my company is not for profit, in fact I make no money on it because I give it all away, the proceeds go to funding youth development programs, rebuilding wetlands, crating community gardens and other stuff that really benefits my fellow man. Now the company that released this firts time shame on you! The company that released it a second time, even more shame on you, because that is the third time the design has been ripped.
Now we all get ideas form other people, and that is ok to be inspired by others, but whne you copy their design line for line, its a bit too much.
Now here it gets even better, the company that has the deisgn up for sale now, have ignored my emails, in fact I have sent a couple and no response, I dont want to go through lawyers and such because its not really worth it, but shame on you guys.
The corporate world that offer mass produced exclusive designs on cheap shirts, produced in sweat shops, with god only knows what grade of cotton, and some very dodgy processes in china, honduras and wherever else they can capitilise on slave labour.
So this rant has been on a angry thread, or maybe its threadless, i really am not sure. But leave your opinions below and see whether I am justified being sad with people, or whether I should be sad and flattered (at present I am both).
